Vancouver Native Housing Society (VNHS) provides affordable
rental housing to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal families and singles in the
City of Vancouver. The Society is seeking a qualified candidate for the
position of Director of Housing Services. If you are a practical thinker, a

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Housing Services
is responsible for overseeing and coordinating key housing services provided by
VNHS. This includes overseeing tenant selection, tenancy agreement administration
and tenant relations for the entire VNHS housing portfolio of 15 properties, while
maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
The Director works collaboratively with all other
departments to achieve excellence in financial and property management for
VNHS. Under his or her leadership, the Housing Services department promotes a harmonious
tenant community and encourages tenants to do their part in the upkeep of the
buildings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the social
housing or private sector rental housing fields, with a sound understanding of
the Residential Tenancy Act and familiarity with government-subsidized Urban
Aboriginal housing and supportive housing programs. She or he will have a related accreditation
as a Certified Property Manager, with five years’ related experience, including
five years supervising staff.
Preference will be given to candidates of Aboriginal
ancestry.
The salary range for the position is competitive in the
non-profit housing sector. Please note
