A Written Notice To Vacate Is Needed:
The Tenant must give written notice of Termination of Tenancy on or before the last day of the month immediately prior to the month in which the termination is to be effective, except where otherwise defined in the Agreement (). Tenancy shall end at 1:00 p.m. on the day of termination.
For example, if the Tenant wants to move at the end of May, the Tenant must make sure the Landlord receives written notice on or before April 30th.
Move Out Guidelines
The following cleaning list is to be used as a guide for cleaning your suite when you vacate or are transferred to another unit. There may be items on this list that do not apply to your suite. We do not consider dirt in any form within the scope of the definition of "ordinary wear and tear".
Tiles |
Should be cleaned throughout the unit along with the cove base. |
Carpets |
Should be steamed cleaned. |
Cupboards and Cabinets |
Remove all drawer liners or Mac Tac. Cupboard doors and drawer handles should be cleaned. |
Bathroom |
Tub, shower stalls, tiles and grout, soap dish, spouts and drains should be cleaned. Use a solution of one part bleach to four parts water to remove any mold. |
Windows |
Clean windows inside and out (if reachable) including sills, tracks and frames. |
Light Fixtures |
Clean all light fixtures, globes and replace any missing light bulbs. |
Curtains and Blinds |
Curtains should be washed and re-hung damp. Blinds should be dusted and wiped with a clean damp cloth. |
Vents |
Kitchen and bathroom vents must be cleaned along with all heating units (wall mounted heaters). |
Balcony |
Remove all items, wash floors, railings and patio doors. |
Stove |
Clean stove and all its fixtures, including range hood and stove fan. Stove’s exterior walls must be cleaned. |
Fridge |
Clean all refrigerator compartments including coils at the rear of the fridge, top and underneath. Please defrost and remove all water. |
Keys must be returned to the building manager on the move-out day. A unit inspection must be done and signed by the tenant. Please note that any rent arrears due, cleaning costs or repairs (beyond normal wear and tear) made by our staff and/or contractors following your move-out will be charged back against your security deposit.
