The Sun Circle Elder Initiative is a unique partnership between the Native Education Center and Vancouver Native Housing Society. The program takes place in our Elder's building at 1545 East Broadway in the amenity room on the second floor. It runs from mid September to mid December. The aim of this three-month schedule is to improve the life of the Elder's in a non-intrusive and respectful way. Some of the program features used to offer unconditional support are shopping, light house keeping and friendly conversation. The pupils offer their services free of charge to residents in the building who request them. In return the students gain valuable experience, and also earn credit toward the completion of their program.
