:Community Works Mural Project

The idea behind the Community Works Mural Project was to bring the community together in a positive and creative way. Several tenants from Vancouver Native Housing came together to create a magnificent work of art. The finished product is visible by the tenants of our 27 West Pender building each time they come home, since the mural resides in the entryway of the building. Jerry Whitehead; Stanley Paul, Darryl Clark and Frederick Vielle all came together to create an original wall mural that celebrates their diverse cultures and instills Native pride in all who see it. This artistic creation is a true effort of what people can do to enhance their community, if the opportunity is presented to them.
